Your Newborn

They are tiny and precious and will stay this size for a very short time.  I recommend scheduling a session within the first 14 days after your baby’s birth, whilst they are still sleeping and curly. Whilst every baby is different, I find this time-frame generally works best and results in some truly magical images. It is still possible to carry out the shoot after this time, but babies become more awake and less happy to be moved around in their sleep. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in.

Newborn information

I normally photograph newborns within the first 14 days, whilst they are still sleepy and flexible.  I've photographed babies from 36 hours old to 21 days successfully. Babies don't often arrive right to schedule, so, around the time of your 20-week scan, let me know, and we can pencil your due date. Then, once your little one arrives, we can arrange a date.  All poses are done with baby safety in mind.

I have a wealth of props, hats, tie-backs and blankets from which to choose but I'm very happy to hear your ideas too. It's a great idea if parents can be in some of the photographs with their newest family member.  If you have older children, you may be able to include them depending on the package your select. All selected images are retouched prior to you viewing them at the ordering session around a week or two later.

I produce artwork for your family.  A couple of weeks after your session you will be invited for a viewing meeting at my home where you will see the best images from your session.  Using some very clever software, I can show you with the pictures might look like on your walls or in a lovely album. I have several samples for you to look at.
