Whether you're planning a wedding or have just welcomed a new baby, I want the whole experience to be enjoyable, as well as giving you photographs you'll treasure for years. I've been a wedding photographer for over twenty years and have specialised in newborn photography for more than ten of those, so by now I've learned what actually matters on the day, and what doesn't.
I photograph weddings across London, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, and newborn sessions in clients' own homes across Surrey and the surrounding areas. I'm based in Surbiton, and my style blends documentary photography with editorial portraits, real moments first, with beautiful images woven through.
Photography that Reflects How Your Wedding Day Actually Felt
I keep things simple on the day so you can stay with your guests rather than being pulled away for photos. Portraits are worked in gently and never take over, you're only away from the celebration for a few minutes before you're back in the middle of it.
Your gallery comes back within six weeks and reflects how the day really felt, a mix of portraits and candid, unplanned moments.
I photograph weddings of every size, from full day celebrations to multi day and destination weddings. Standard coverage is eight hours, which is usually plenty for the whole day. If your day runs longer, coverage can extend to match. Either way, your coverage is shaped around how your day actually unfolds, not a fixed running order.
Surrey Newborn Photographer
Your session takes place in your own home, so there's no need to travel anywhere with a brand new baby. I bring everything with me, lighting, wraps and simple backgrounds, and we create beautiful newborn portraits right there in your own space.
With over ten years photographing newborns, I've learned that the best sessions are the unhurried ones. We work entirely around your baby, with plenty of time built in for feeding, changing and settling whenever it's needed. If you have a calm family pet, they're always welcome to join in too.
I'm based in Surbiton and photograph newborns across Surrey and South London.

Hi - I'm gill!
I'm originally from Aberdeen but call Surbiton, on the edge of London, home now. I'm mum to two gorgeous girls, married to a very lovely tall husband, and usually found editing with my much loved cocker spaniel asleep under my desk.
For weddings, I love helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera, working calmly and staying aware of everything happening around you so nothing important gets missed.
For newborn sessions, your baby always sets the pace. There's no pressure for your home to look a certain way, and no rush to get the "perfect" shot, just time and space for genuine, calm moments with your new family.
Oh, and I'm completely dog obsessed, if that wasn't already obvious.
